Item description

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link / Zelda no Densetsu – Part 2: Link no Bōken (ゼルダの伝説パート2 リンクの冒険) is the 2nd game in the Legend of Zelda series and a real departure from the usual top down action RPGs. This is a side-scrolling RPG and it will test all your gaming skills.

This version is different from the later NES release. From wiki:

"Like the first Zelda game, the FDS version appears to be an earlier version of the game, with a few obvious differences. In the FDS version the dungeons are all gray or green, whereas in the English cartridge release, each dungeon has a unique color. The two dungeon bosses Carrok and Volvagia (the latter being named Barba in the NES release) have different graphical appearances.

The game over screen in the English version features the silhouette of Ganon from the chest up, with the text "Game Over/Return of Ganon", whereas the FDS game over screen is a plain black screen with the text "Return of Ganon/The End".

There are some slight additions and differences in the dungeons. Due to the Disk System's additional sound chip, the NES conversion lost some musical elements, especially from the title screen. On the main map, the icons denoting attacking monsters look different. The most significant change is the spending of experience points, as Link's three attributes cost the same, unlike the worldwide release. Leveling up is very different on the FDS version, as the saved game on the disk will only let the attributes levels go as high as whatever is set the lowest—for example, if Life is at 5, Strength is at 4, and Magic is at 1, then it will save all as level 1."

The game has been tested on an actual Famicom system (Twin Famicom) and plays great. The photo uploaded is of the actual game I am selling. Check the condition before buying. Make sure that you have the necessary hardware to run Japanese Famicom Disk System games before bidding.

Game will be wrapped in a removable plastic sleeve and then placed in a bubble wrapped mailer for shipping. Please remember, the games will ship from Japan so please allow some additional shipping time. Also during Japanese postal holidays (New Year's, Golden Week, Obon) orders will be delayed while the post office is closed.
