Item description
YMCK SONGBOOK -songs before 8bit- is a cover album by chip tune gods YMCK.
Vinnk's Take: Like all of YMCK albums, I love this CD. But this one is a special kind of great. Not only are the chiptunes fire, but this CD actually introduced me to a lot of artists I have never heard of and inspired me to look them up. The theme for this album is to take classic Japanese pop and folk songs that were written before the Famicom era and YMCK them up. The results are great. "Yume no Naka e" , which is one of the songs I WAS familiar with the original version of, is just so good. I linked the video below.
Tracklist:
1. 夢の中へ (Yume no Naka e) - originally by Yosui Inoue
2. ぼくたちの失敗 (Bokutachi no Shippai) - originally by Doji Morita
3. 人間なんて (Ningen Nante) - originally by Takuro Yoshida
4. 傘がない (Kasa ga Nai) - originally by Yosui Inoue
5. 春夏秋冬 (Shunkashūtō) - originally by Shigeru Izumiya
6. 満足できるかな (Manzoku Dekiru Kana) - originally by Kenji Endo
7. 言葉にできない (Kotoba ni Dekinai) - originally by Kazumasa Oda
8. 人生を語らず (Jinsei o Katarazu) - originally by Takuro Yoshida
9. まるで正直者のように (Marude Shōjikimono no Yō ni) - originally by Masato Tomobe
This CD has been tested and plays great. The photo uploaded is of the actual CD I am selling. Audio CDs from Japan have no region coding so they will play in any standard player.
CDs will be wrapped in a removable plastic sleeve and then placed in a bubble wrapped mailer for shipping. Please remember, I ship from Japan so please allow some additional shipping time. Also during Japanese postal holidays (New Year's, Golden Week, Obon) orders will be delayed while the post office is closed.
